Our Junior Class had a great project that has just been completed called the " Snack Election". The importance of this project was to learn about our rights and freedoms in Canada- with a focus on our democratic rights. (The right to vote, the right to help in an election, and the right to run for PM.)
Each child was expected to choose their favorite snack and create a poster board with convincing and catchy phrases for peers to vote for them. The class went around as a group to the entire school to campaign for their snack. Each child gave a presentation about their chosen snack. The students counted the votes and analyzed the data.
Congrats to the Junior Class winner which was Oreos!!
