As principal, it is my pleasure to introduce you to our wonderful school. Edelweiss Private Academy (or EPA) is an ideal place for students who are experiencing academic or social-emotional challenges in mainstream schools or who are transitioning from IBI therapy and are ready for group learning. Our talented, dedicated staff, child centred approach and small pupil teacher ratio provide students with a safe and supportive environment where they can reach their full potential. We follow the Ministry of Education curriculum, and the core subjects (Reading, Language, Writing, Spelling and Math) that are taught through evidence based Direct Instruction. We work in partnership with parents and community services to provide mental health support, Occupational & Speech and Language therapy for our students.

 

At EPA we promote socialization and character development through a Social Skills course of study and Value Education. Our students also benefit from a full Arts education. Our Physical Education program includes daily physical activities, weekly yoga and swimming. To provide the ideal learning environment for your child, we have both in person and online synchronous learning options.
