Covid Update 2022/2023

Last updated: May 17, 2022.

The health, safety and well-being of our students, families and staff is our top priority and multiple protective strategies and a laying of controls have been in place to help mitigate the risk of COVID transmission. These include practicing social distancing, using respiratory etiquette, wearing masks, daily health screenings, frequent hand washing/sanitizing, and enhanced cleaning and ventilation. Parents are asked to conduct a daily health screening on their child before arriving at school using the Ottawa Public Health screening tool on their website. Students should stay home if they are not well and follow the guidance provided in the screening tool. In an effort to protect the unvaccinated (students aged 5-11 years of age), access to the school building will continue to be restricted to students and school personnel. The return to in person learning is voluntary and to help parents with their decision making, Edelweiss Private Academy will provide both in class learning and remote synchronous learning. EPA is offering Pizza and Subway Days,, as well as weekly swimming this year. Our after-school program will run until 4:30 pm. Please note that EPA is prepared to quickly transition to complete online curriculum delivery if Health Department guidelines change.
